Description | JOB GOAL:
The Web Programmer will provide quality and timely web application support to a diverse LRSD user community, providing skilled technical work of an advanced level involving the research, design, illustration, layout, lettering, and production of a variety of layout web forms using HTML and CSS, displaying an understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) and technology infrastructures using CSS, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Wed-Proxy and Security Audits.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve-month contract (245 days) Plus Benefits Package NOTE: Precise placement on the salary schedule will be determined based on experience. Schedule 804 Range 116: $47,924 – $83,267
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university; one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in computer science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related qualification preferred.
- Skilled in ASP.NET, C#, SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio 2017, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, Internet Information Services, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
- Ability to troubleshoot web issues in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Excellent content creation and writing skills, time management, and ability to multi-task and be a team player.
- Desirable skills: Adobe Photoshop, Crystal Reports, or other report writers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. - Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade web applications. Maintain/upgrade web forms, code-behind, and SQL as needed. Layout web forms using ASP.NET and CSS.
- Provide interactive client-side experience and data validation using JavaScript and jQuery.
- Validate user logon, load page controls, and post form data using C#.
- Create databases, tables, stored procedures, functions, and views as needed to support the web.
- Gather all information and materials from the client(s) necessary to provide a solution.
- Provide technical documentation and training to client(s) as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with best practices and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work under the supervision of the Web Applications Manager and Coordinator of Application Development.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, go up and downstairs, operate foot and hand controls, use a telephone, and write. Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to twenty (20) or more pounds. This position requires accurate perceiving of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, handling and working with educational materials and/or objects, and providing oral information. Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period, and to be physically present and at assigned work, with only infrequent unexcused absences, during the contract year. Additional technical skills, knowledge, and abilities may be recommended by the immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
